For: Parents, Family Members, Caregivers of Children ages 0-5 years old
The statistics on childhood sexual abuse are incredibly scary. A review of childhood sexual abuse studies estimate that 1 in 10 children have been sexually abused at some point in childhood. In addition, 91% of childhood sexual abuse is perpetrated by someone the child or child’s family knows. This means that simply teaching “stranger danger” is not enough to protect our children, however, many parents don’t know what to do instead. In this workshop you will be given tools to educate and empower your young child around body safety. You will also be given strategies on educating family members and trusted adults in order to create a community that supports and protects your child which reduces the risk of childhood sexual abuse occurring.

This workshop really helped me feel less overwhelmed about a deep topic. I feel like I now have a place to start and clear steps to help me help my child understand. Nayeli was extremely knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable enough to share. Thank you, looking forward to future workshops!
